"In a lot of ways we learned from that year and we came back stronger the next year," Brady said. "We won the Super Bowl in '18. I think everything is a matter of perspective and when you play in that game and you play great teams, you're not going to win them all. This is not the Harlem Globetrotters vs. the Washington Generals. This is all about tough competition against the best teams. They deserved it that year, and now a couple years later, we get a chance to play the organization again. We've had a lot changes, they've had a lot of changes. It's totally different circumstances. Huge game for us. Big game for them. The better team is going to win."
I used to be on Philly fans side, yes, uncle TC was here for the bad years, blah blah blah. But there was a camaraderie among bad team fans. Until, well, we became THE team to hate. In 2007 I was at the Philly Patriots game. Philly fans behind me. We were jawing back and forth until we pulled away and I shut them up saying, you'll always have Rocky. Laughter erupted and they even shook my hand to say, hey, you got me. Respect. I did not appreciate the Lane Johnson's and scummy fans attacking the greatest organization in sports, simply because they had 15 minutes to celebrate. You won, yay, don't you want to win another one? Are you content with just having that one to look back on, watch the DVD, get drunk, start crying and falling to sleep in your urine soaked trousers? Yes, I used trousers, sounds funnier. The poor Falcons and Rams seem to have broken after we won, but can we break a team that beat us? Maybe so.
