Coming into the season P Ryan Allen was poised to have a position battle for the one roster spot as a punter on the New England Patriots roster.
This wasn't a surprise to anyone, considering the Patriots actually used a fifth round draft pick to select Jake Bailey, who went on to win the position battle and has excelled as a Patriot.
This meant the end of Allen's six year tenure in New England. He was released on August 19.
On November 4, however, Allen found a new home when the Atlanta Falcons signed him to a deal.
The 1-7 Falcons have struggled immensely this year. Allen will be their fifth punter they turn to in the 2019 season.
Wishing Allen the best and will forever be grateful for his performance in Super Bowl LIII that helped hold the Rams to only 3 points.
