Patriots first round draft pick N'Keal Harry returned to practice last week and is now able to be activated to the active 53-man roster this week after spending the first 8 games on the injured reserve list.
Harry played sparingly during the preseason, catching only 2 passes for 36 yards before suffering an ankle injury and later being shut down indefinitely.
Although it is not confirmed that Harry will play in week 9 against the Ravens, Coach Belichick is encouraged by Harry's progress and says his health is trending upwards.
The activation of Harry to the 53-man roster will mean some turnover for the current actives. One player will have to be released to free up a spot for him. And if I had to guess, that will most likely be third string quarterback Cody Kessler, who has already been released once and signed again after players went down with injuries.
This also marks the first of only two available IR activations the Patriots can use this season. There were rumors that LT Isaiah Wynn will presumably be the other.
Injuries and roster turmoil have plagued the Patriots receiving corps all season long. The return of the young wideout will be graciously received and will certainly help boost a struggling offense.
