6 Municipal Police killed by Huachicoleros in Puebla

 Six Municipal Police of Amozoc were assassinated in Chachapa by members of a band dedicated to the robbery of petroleum products from Pemex. The Secretary of Public Security have detained two persons deemed responsible. The Municipal President, Jose Cruz, said that the Police arrived at the zone after a telephone call that denounced a dispute in the area.

The crime was committed on the San Cristobel highway, where the State Attorney General encountered the bodies on the edge of a field of maize, with the bodies lying side by side with one female among them.




The six assassinated had been killed around 16:30, when initially a confrontation had been registered, however, unofficial versions refer to the Police elements being threatened by the criminals, then thrown to the floor and executed at point blank range.

The bodies were found only 250 meters from the Puebla-Orizaba highway, on which was mounted an an operation by Ministerial, State and Federal elements to locate those responsible, who had fled in two pickups, one red and one black, towards San Miguel Espejo, a province of the State capital.

It should be noted that one of the officers was found alive, red cross medics tried to save him but he died minutes later.

For the support operation, State Police provided 30 elements, plus the Hercules unit of the Municipal Police. During the operation a clandestine duct tap was found a kilometer from the place where the bodies of the Police were found.

The Secretary of Public Security, Jesus Morales Rodriguez, reported that two people were arrested, who will be referred to the authorities as the alleged perpetrators of this multiple homicide.
