Patriots Performers of the Week (Preseason Week 3)

The Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers in a pretty boring game tonight 10-3.

The game didn't really feature any spectacular plays or breakout performances, but here are the standout stat lines.

Tom Brady:
Brady went 8/12 for 75 yards in his first action of preseason. Not really anything to marvel at, but Tom is my Lord and Savior, so leaving him off the list would be a sin and deny my access to heaven. So, glad to see Tommy back in action and I'm officially getting the itches for regular season football with it being so close. Love you, Tom.

Jakobi Meyers:
Dude, this kid is for real. Think this is the third week in a row this feature has had Meyers in the standout performers list. He caught 7 passes for 74 yards tonight. The kid is 3/3 since I started writing this piece and continues to make an even greater case for cracking the starting depth chart at the beginning of the season. He needs to keep balling out if he wants to see regular season work, since the Pats depth chart at wide receiver is all of a sudden stacked.

Check back next week for the recap of the Pats fourth preseason game, as they look to improve to a perfect 4-0 against the Giants.
